| The Newfoundland dog is a sweet tempered family companion. The Newfie as he is sometimes called is usually black and has webbed feet and a water-resistant coat. Sweetness of temperament is a description used for Newfies as well as “Gentle Giants”. A Newfoundland has a life expectancy of between 8 to 10 years and an adult dog may weigh between 130 to 160 pounds. |
